July is peak season — Calgary RV fleets sell out 10–12 months ahead. This is literally the right time to book. Fraserway and CanaDream are Canada’s two largest operators with Calgary depots. Compare Outdoorsy for peer-to-peer deals that can be 20–30% cheaper.
Scenarios B & C · Pick up YYC airport · CAD ~$80–140/day per vehicle
For 20 people you need 3–4 large vehicles. 7-passenger Suburbans or 12-passenger vans. Book through the airport counter for easiest pick-up. Discount Car & Truck is a Canadian chain that often beats the US brands on price. Always compare all five before committing.
Banff · Jun 30 · CAD ~$14–22 shuttle
Private cars banned since 2022 — you must take the Parks Canada shuttle or Roam Transit bus. Sunrise slot sells out January. Book the day reservations open.
Banff · Jul 1 · CAD ~$40–55/person
Only gondola in Canada above treeline into an alpine meadow. Wildflowers peak late June–July. Canada Day slot fills fast. Book all adults together for group discount.
Banff · Jul 1 (Canada Day) · Free with Park Pass · Guided tours $25–45 pp
Suspended catwalks bolted into limestone canyon walls follow Johnston Creek to two dramatic waterfalls. Walk through a small cave at the Lower Falls for a soaking close-up view. One of the most popular hikes in all of Banff — plan your timing carefully.
⚠️ Arrive by 7–8 AM — parking fills before 9 AM and catwalks get extremely crowded by midday. Bring bear spray, a fleece (damp canyon air even in July), and water. Dogs on-leash welcome. Bikes not allowed.
Icefields Pkwy · Jul 2 · CAD ~$65–95/person
Ice Explorer bus ride onto the Athabasca Glacier + Glacier Skywalk over the valley. One of the most-visited paid experiences in the Canadian Rockies. Book through the official operator first; GetYourGuide/Viator often match the price.
Jasper · Jul 3–4 · CAD ~$75–95/person
90-minute guided boat cruise to Spirit Island — one of the most photographed places in Canada. July slots are gone by February. Book official first; third-party sometimes has release inventory at last minute.
Jasper · Jul 3–4 · CAD ~$55–75/person
Canada’s highest and longest aerial tram — rises 973 m to Whistlers Summit (2,285 m). Views of six mountain ranges. Best on a clear morning. Banff Jasper Collection is the operator.
All national parks · Jun 28–Jul 5 · CAD ~$75/adult or $150/family per pass
Mandatory to enter Banff and Jasper. Daily gate fee is ~$21/car — the annual pass pays off in 4 days. Buy one pass per vehicle. RV group may need 3–4 passes total.
Radium Hot Springs, BC · Jul 6 · CAD ~$10–18/person
Parks Canada’s famous outdoor mineral pools set inside Sinclair Canyon in Kootenay NP — the hottest natural hot springs in the Canadian Rockies. No advance booking needed; just arrive and pay at the gate. Parks Canada pass covers the park entry.
Kelowna / Naramata · Jul 7 · CAD ~$80–150/person
Book a guided wine tour bus so nobody drives. Typical 3–stop tour covers Mission Hill (iconic views), a boutique Naramata bench winery, and a local favourite. Includes tastings & snacks.
North Vancouver · Jul 8–9 · CAD ~$65–70/person
70 m above the Capilano River — 137 m suspended walkway through old-growth forest. Includes Treetops Adventure and Cliffwalk. Online booking saves ~10% vs gate. Book direct for cheapest price.
North Vancouver · Jul 8–9 · CAD ~$65–80/person
Gondola with 360° views of Vancouver skyline and Pacific. Summer includes rescued grizzly bears, lumberjack show, hiking, and an eye-level view of the city. Perfect final-day activity.
Vancouver Harbour · Jul 8 · CAD ~$100–130/person
Orcas, humpbacks, and dolphins 45 min from downtown. July is peak season. Zodiac boats for thrills or larger vessels for comfort. An epic final-day upgrade instead of another city walk.
Vancouver · Jul 8–9 · Free (bike rental ~CAD $10/h)
Stanley Park seawall is free to walk or rent bikes. Granville Island public market is free — best coffee and fresh food in Vancouver. No tickets needed, just show up.

Iconic glacial turquoise of Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks — the world’s most photographed alpine scene.
